OPCW The Hague
Provast is developing the 20,000 m² OPCW headquarters on Johan de Wittlaan.
For the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), we developed the accommodation on Johan de Wittlaan in The Hague. The eight-storey semi-circular building—also known as “the Mushroom”—has a surface area of 20,000 m² and includes an underground car park. Designed by the U.S. architecture firm Kallmann McKinnell & Wood, the complex meets all safety requirements set by the United Nations for office buildings. The facility was officially opened by Princess Beatrix (then Queen) on 20 May 1998.
