Provast is redeveloping a listed building into a sustainable office block on Coolsingel
Provast has commenced the redevelopment of the iconic building located at Coolsingel 93 in Rotterdam. The redevelopment consists of 30,000 sqm multi-tenant office space and in addition to office space will provide communal facilities such as a green roof terrace, meeting rooms, communal areas and a restaurant.
Provast is developing this sustainable office building to a design by Paul de Ruiter Architects. The monumental office building, renowned for its historic architecture and prominent location in the heart of Rotterdam, will retain its character whilst being adapted to meet contemporary standards for sustainability and comfort. The redevelopment includes the use of sustainable building materials, energy-saving systems and smart technologies that contribute to a reduction in CO2 emissions. This redevelopment brings together history, innovation and sustainability.
The building has been designed and developed to comply with the Paris Proof guidelines and, upon completion, will hold BREEAM Excellent certification and an A++++ energy rating. Once completed, the building will be the most sustainable office building in Rotterdam.
The redevelopment is due for completion in September 2026, when it will also welcome its first tenants.

Provast develops new 30,000 sqm office for ANWB in The Hague
Provast has started construction of the new office for the ANWB in The Hague. The office will be approximately 30,000 sqm and, in addition to workspaces and meeting facilities, will also incorporate a theatre, an ANWB retail store and a mobility hub. Provast is delivering this sustainable and innovative office building as a bespoke development for the ANWB. The design is by architectural firm MVRDV and is defined by two spacious entrances connected by a multifunctional passageway. The ANWB is committed to the interests of its members as well as to promoting a sustainable and safe society. The Hague - Beatrixkwartier The Beatrixkwartier is a mixed-use area in The Hague where residential and commercial functions are seamlessly integrated. It is a modern district located in the Bezuidenhout neighbourhood, featuring offices, shops, restaurants and hotels, and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. The ANWB office represents Provast’s seventh development within this area.
Provast acquires 11,000 sqm UWV office building in Alkmaar station area
Provast has acquired the UWV office in Alkmaar from a fund managed by Harbert Management Corporation in partnership with QUAN Investors. The office has a floor area of approximately 11,000 sqm, whilst the plot covers approximately 13,000 sqm. The office building is let to the UWV on a long-term lease. Provast has acquired the office building with the aim to redevelop this location. The Alkmaar station area has been designated by the municipality and NS as a key development area. The aim is to create a high-quality urban environment with a mix of residential, commercial and recreational facilities. The redevelopment of the UWV location is in line with this and contributes to the transformation into an attractive urban hub. This objective aligns well with Provast’s high level of ambition when it comes to inner-city redevelopment projects. With this strategic acquisition, Provast is taking a significant step in the redevelopment of the station area, thereby further realizing its own growth ambitions.
