Provast is developing a former bank building into a 30,000 sqm ‘Paris Proof’ office in Rotterdam
On 12 December, Alderman Zeegers performed the ceremonial ground-breaking for the redevelopment of Coolsingel 93 in Rotterdam. This former bank building was given a monumental status by the City of Rotterdam in October due to its unique combination of 1950s post-war reconstruction architecture and 1990s postmodernist high-rise design. Provast is redeveloping C93 in collaboration with AXA Investment Managers into a Paris Proof and BREEAM Excellent office building, which is unique for a building with a monumental status.
The distinctive four oval windows at the top of the building will be retained. The design by Paul de Ruiter Architects is being carried out by De Vries en Verburg and will be delivered in September 2026. Advisors involved in C93 include IMd Raadgevende Ingenieurs, Ingenieursburo Linssen, DGMR, bbn adviseurs, Adviesbureau H. Janssen Echt bv, C2N, bouAd adviesgroep, Walraad architecten, TANK, Makers of Sustainable Spaces, CBRE and Loyens & Loeff.
ABN AMRO Bank N.V. has signed a lease for 3,900 sqm. The remaining 22 floors will be let in units of various sizes. The letting of C93 is being managed by Cushman & Wakefield,CBRE and BRIQ

Provast is redeveloping a listed building into a sustainable office block on Coolsingel
Provast has commenced the redevelopment of the iconic building located at Coolsingel 93 in Rotterdam. The redevelopment consists of 30,000 sqm multi-tenant office space and in addition to office space will provide communal facilities such as a green roof terrace, meeting rooms, communal areas and a restaurant. Provast is developing this sustainable office building to a design by Paul de Ruiter Architects. The monumental office building, renowned for its historic architecture and prominent location in the heart of Rotterdam, will retain its character whilst being adapted to meet contemporary standards for sustainability and comfort. The redevelopment includes the use of sustainable building materials, energy-saving systems and smart technologies that contribute to a reduction in CO2 emissions. This redevelopment brings together history, innovation and sustainability. The building has been designed and developed to comply with the Paris Proof guidelines and, upon completion, will hold BREEAM Excellent certification and an A++++ energy rating. Once completed, the building will be the most sustainable office building in Rotterdam. The redevelopment is due for completion in September 2026, when it will also welcome its first tenants. De Vries en Verburg is carrying out the redevelopment of Coolsingel 93 on behalf of AXA and Provast.
Provast develops new 30,000 sqm office for ANWB in The Hague
Provast has started construction of the new office for the ANWB in The Hague. The office will be approximately 30,000 sqm and, in addition to workspaces and meeting facilities, will also incorporate a theatre, an ANWB retail store and a mobility hub. Provast is delivering this sustainable and innovative office building as a bespoke development for the ANWB. The facility will serveas a workspace and meeting place for members, partners, visitors and ANWB staff alike. The building will constitute a distinctivelandmark in a prominent location in the Beatrixkwartier and will be characterised by transparent, inviting and architectural expression. The design is by architectural firm MVRDV and is defined by two spacious entrances connected by a multifunctional passageway. ANWB The ANWB is the largest membership association in the Netherlands, with over 5 million members. The ANWB offers a broad range of services in the fields of mobility, travel and leisure. The ANWB is committed to the interests of its members as well as to promoting a sustainable and safe society. The Hague - Beatrixkwartier The Beatrixkwartier is a mixed-use area in The Hague where residential and commercial functions are seamlessly integrated. It is a modern district located in the Bezuidenhout neighbourhood, featuring offices, shops, restaurants and hotels, and is easily accessible by both car and public transport. The ANWB office represents Provast’s seventh development within this area.
